What is it?

Our Summer Schools are designed for students who want an exciting week of fun in which they get to learn and develop performing techniques and singing, dance, and drama skills from top industry professionals. A great summer activity for the kids where at the end of the week, students will get to showcase what they’ve been learning in a performance for family and friends. The school has two sessions and runs in the Summer Break. You can choose to do both sessions or to just do the one week as content will be different for each week. It is a great chance for children and young people to keep social, learn new skills, boost confidence, get performing opportunities and have a lot of fun!

This Year’s Theme!

For Make a Musical in a Week – Week One, students will be creating their own musical based on the story of The Lion King. They will be using songs and routines from many well loved Disney films and shows.

Who can attend?

The Summer School is open to young people aged 7 – 16 years. Participants can already attend the Anna Fiorentini Theatre & Film School or be completely new. This will be the perfect course for stagey students as well as those keen to try something new.

FAQ’s About Acting

Why Choose a Summer Course For My Child?

When the holidays roll around it’s always tricky to find activities that are fun and engaging for your child while they are away from school. Attending a drama school short course is not only a way for your child to hone and develop their acting craft, but it is a way to meet and make new friends and build confidence in a fun and stress-free environment. Our short courses offered at our drama school provide your children with the opportunity to learn new skills, find their voice and have buckets of fun.

Our acting summer school courses have been designed in such a way that participants may book for just one week OR both. However, if you have little or no previous experience we recommend that you do both weeks of the summer course to get the most benefit.

What Short Courses Do You Offer?

Our summer courses are broken up into two weeks, with the first-course start date commencing on the 29th of July. This flexible short course structure is set up to work around your commitments and simultaneously provide a memorable acting journey.

What is Screen Acting?

Screen Acting is exactly what it sounds like, acting for the screen. Screen acting is a major focus for the modern actor. Due to the immense popularity of film, television and streaming services, work across these media will usually make up the bulk of an actor’s professional engagements in their careers—meaning the related skill sets are crucial to development.
